About Perle Labs

Perle Labs is a web3 AI-data platform (perle.ai) on Solana that connects verified domain experts (doctors, lawyers, engineers, scientists) and open contributors with enterprises for RLHF, model evaluation, red-teaming, and labeling. Contributors sign up permissionlessly at app.perle.xyz with a Solana wallet, Google, or email OTP, then earn performance-based Points that accrue toward the $PRL token (TGE March 2026) plus occasional USDC quest pools. It is real and well-funded ($17.5M from Framework Ventures and CoinFund), but pay is denominated in speculative crypto Points/token rather than guaranteed cash. Perle also hires for paid gigs on contract (transcription in about 50 languages, audio and voice recording, egocentric video, face-motion data, research adjudication), posted on its Rippling board and applied to through its hiring app, Winnow: a reviewed application, then a short paid trial.

Is Perle Labs legit?

Researched October 2026 · 21 sources

Mostly. Perle, Inc. is a real company backed by $17.5 million, but its open Perle Labs app pays in points and the PRL crypto token, not cash, and PRL has lost about three quarters of its August 2026 peak value. Points are not wages: they turn into PRL only if Perle's anti-bot checks accept your wallet, some genuine contributors were wrongly excluded in March 2026, and the token's price can fall sharply after you earn it. It pays Gigs paid per task or audio minute; Points toward PRL in its app (third-party reports).

Who is behind it

Ahmed Rashad, formerly of Scale AI, runs Perle, Inc. (perle.ai), which sells expert-labeled AI training data and says it has 49,000 vetted experts in 70 countries. It raised an $8.5 million pre-seed led by CoinFund in October 2024 and a $9 million seed led by Framework Ventures in August 2025. Perle Labs (perle.xyz) is its Solana contributor app; the PRL token launched on March 25, 2026, governed by a separate Perle Foundation.

Getting paid

Two routes. Perle's hired roles, posted on Rippling, pay per task, minute or hour of accepted work, and its expert track starts with a paid trial. The open Perle Labs app pays points per verified task; Season 1 points became PRL tokens for eligible wallets, and each task needs a little SOL for its on-chain confirmation.

Worker sentiment

No Glassdoor or Trustpilot presence found; coverage is concentrated in crypto and airdrop media (MEXC, KuCoin, Odaily, airdrops.io) rather than traditional worker-review sites.

Verified active

67 open roles on Perle Labs, independently checked 18 Oct 2026.

Who can join

Global and permissionless (~70 countries). Contributors join with a Solana wallet, Google, or email OTP; participation is crypto-wallet based, so some regions may be restricted by local crypto rules.

Fake Perle Labs recruiters

Fake claim sites appeared at launch: claim.perle.sbs, registered two days after PRL's debut, is flagged as a wallet-draining fake airdrop. Perle's real links are perle.ai, perle.xyz, app.perle.xyz and X accounts @PerleLabs and @PerleFDN. Perle says to ignore DMs and 'support' accounts offering PRL and to treat any airdrop not on its own sites as suspicious.

What people praise

  • Perle's expert roles start with a short paid trial in your field, and Perle says every expert works under a real employee or contractor agreement rather than bidding for tasks.
  • A Halborn audit confirmed PRL's supply is capped at 1 billion tokens and that no one, including Perle, can freeze a holder's account.
  • Joining the Perle Labs app is free with a Solana wallet, Google or email, and Perle never holds your private keys.

What people complain about

  • Contributors who completed tasks were marked 'Not Eligible' for the PRL airdrop, and some who first showed as eligible were later dropped as Perle's filters changed.
  • Points do not guarantee tokens: Perle says accounts with many points can still be excluded for farm-like behavior.
  • Anti-bot checks read your IP, browser, device and VPN signals, and Perle admits they can flag legitimate users and block verification.
  • Each task needs a small amount of SOL in your wallet for the on-chain confirmation, so you pay network fees before you earn anything.

What has gone wrong

  • March 2026. Before the March 25 token launch, many contributors who had earned points were told they were not eligible for the airdrop. Perle's CEO confirmed some genuine participants had been wrongly flagged; Perle re-reviewed their cases through an appeal form and said approved appeals would get allocations at launch.
  • April 2026. Upbit delayed PRL trading after about 90 million PRL moved from the foundation's wallet to five wallets that sold around the listing announcement. Perle said they were ecosystem tokens sold within its disclosed schedule, and Upbit went ahead with the listing after a review.
  • August 2026. PRL peaked at about $0.47 on August 19, 2026, then fell to about $0.10 by September 15, a drop of nearly 78%. It traded at $0.11 on October 10, 2026, so tokens earned near the peak lost most of their value.
Who it suits

Best for: Crypto-comfortable contributors with a Solana wallet who accept pay in a volatile token, and domain experts or linguists who can apply to Perle's paid roles instead. Not for: Anyone who needs predictable cash income, cannot keep a small SOL balance in a wallet, or will not do a palm scan to prove they are a unique human before claiming tokens.

Honest catches

  • Pay here is third-party reports, not measured live from a job feed, so treat it as a benchmark rather than a guaranteed rate.

Third-party reports · as of 2026-07-25
Gigs paid per task or audio minute; Points toward PRL in its app

Researched rate card, third-party reports, as of 2026-07-25

Perle does not publish a fixed USD hourly or per-task rate. Contributors earn performance-based Points per task (scaled by accuracy, complexity, consistency, daily check-ins, and 1.5x-2.5x daily multipliers) that accrue toward the $PRL token, which had its Token Generation Event on Solana in March 2026. Additional USDC prize pools (roughly $50-$500) are distributed through Galxe campaigns and quests. Third-party blogs cite a $50-80/hour token-value equivalent and a '95 points per $100 task' model, but those are promotional estimates, not platform-stated figures, and $PRL token value is volatile, so realized USD is uncertain.

How to get started on Perle Labs

Researched October 2026

Create a free account at app.perle.xyz with a Solana wallet, Google or email, link a Solana wallet holding a little SOL, check in daily, finish Educational projects to unlock Accuracy projects, then join projects in the Marketplace and submit tasks that earn Points once validated; Points are not cash, and Perle's only conversion so far was the PRL token airdrop at its March 2026 launch.

Who can join

  • Be at least 18 years old. Perle's Terms say the services are intended for users who are at least 18, and persons under 18 may not use or register for them.
  • Professional or domain knowledge helps but is not a hard gate. Perle's FAQ says anyone with professional or domain-specific knowledge can participate (doctors, linguists, engineers, educators, researchers and other subject-matter experts), and that every new contributor first completes a short qualification or training module before live projects.
  • A way to sign in: a Solana wallet such as Phantom, Solflare or Backpack (Perle's recommended option), a Google account, or an email address for one-time codes. Sign-up also passes a Cloudflare security check.
  • A Solana wallet to receive rewards. If you sign up with Google or email, Perle says you can connect a wallet later 'to enable reward payouts and full web3 functionality'.
  • A small SOL balance in that wallet. The app blocks on-chain actions without it: it requires at least 0.001 SOL to submit a task transaction and at least 0.01 SOL to mint a badge.
  • To claim PRL tokens under the airdrop terms (last updated 17 March 2026): be 18 or older, not be a U.S. person, not be located in or resident of a sanctioned territory (the terms list Cuba, Crimea, the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, Iran and North Korea), not use a VPN to get around restrictions, use only one account and wallet, and pass proof-of-humanity and any identity checks.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Choose Your Login Method

At app.perle.xyz pick Wallet (recommended: connect Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or another Solana wallet and sign), Sign in with Google, or Login with Email (you get a one-time code; check spam if it does not arrive within a few minutes). Complete the verification for the method you chose.

  2. 2

Enter Referral Code (optional) and Set Up Your Profile

If someone invited you, enter their code to get a bonus on your first completed task; otherwise skip it. Then add your name, avatar and domain expertise. Perle calls the profile optional but recommended.

  3. 3

    Link a Wallet

If you joined with Google or email, connect a Solana wallet from your account to enable rewards and on-chain participation. Linked logins share one profile, reputation score and reward balance.

  4. 4

    Daily Check-in

On Home, tap 'Check in' each day to claim bonus points and extend your streak. Active streaks grant temporary point multipliers of 1.5x to 2.5x on tasks completed in the next 24 hours.

  5. 5

    Complete Educational projects

In the Marketplace, start with the Educational category: micro-lessons and quizzes that unlock higher-value Accuracy projects. The first tier above Novice, Researcher, is unlocked through Educational projects.

  6. 6

    Join Project

Browse the Marketplace (All, Educational, Accuracy, Social), open a project and review its Description, Requirements, Rewards and Timeframe. Check the tier and badge requirements and whether it has capacity, then click 'Join Project'. You can start its tasks once accepted.

  7. 7

    Complete and Submit tasks

Pick a task (each shows its estimated time and point reward), follow the instructions for its type (text, image, audio or video), and click 'Submit'. Your work is then validated automatically or peer-reviewed before points are distributed.

  8. 8

Submit Transaction to record the task on-chain

In the app a task can show 'QA pending' while it is checked, then 'On-chain pending' ('Pending on-chain submission') with a 'Submit Transaction' button, and finally 'On-chain' ('Submitted on-chain'). Submitting the transaction needs at least 0.001 SOL in your connected wallet.

  9. 9

    Track your points in Earnings

Earnings shows a weekly recap chart and a ledger by Task, Badges and Points (title, project, date, points, status). Points come from tasks, check-ins, referrals, the daily spin and feedback; Pending Points are awaiting validation and post to your total once they settle.

  10. 10

Claim PRL when a claim is open

Perle's claim site asks you to 'Connect your wallet to check eligibility and claim your $PRL rewards.' Use the same Solana wallet that holds your Perle activity.

Educational projects (training and qualification modules)

Perle says the platform guides every new contributor through domain-specific training and verification modules that assess expertise before live projects. In the app these are Educational projects: micro-lessons and short quizzes that qualify you for higher-tier work. After that, quality is checked continuously: Accuracy tasks are benchmarked against gold-standard samples, consensus validation or expert review, and your accuracy decides your tier, badges and which projects you can join.

Format

Self-paced micro-lessons and quizzes inside the Marketplace's Educational category, followed by ongoing scoring of real tasks against known answers and other contributors' answers. There is no interview and no published pass mark.

How to prepare

  • Do the Educational modules first: Perle says they unlock Accuracy projects and the Researcher tier.
  • Fill in your domain expertise in your profile, then use the Marketplace filters to target projects that match your field.
  • Read each task's instructions fully before answering and favor accuracy over speed: Perle says high accuracy sustains rank better than raw volume and boosts your multiplier over time.
  • Check a project's tier and badge requirements before joining so you do not stall on a project you cannot enter.
  • Keep at least 0.001 SOL in your linked wallet so validated tasks can be recorded on-chain.

Why people get rejected

  • Wrong answers: the app marks them 'Wrong answer', and accuracy gates (benchmark and consensus pass rates) control access to higher-value tasks.
  • Missing the tier or badge a project requires, or finding the project full (Perle says a full project may reopen when space becomes available).
  • No SOL in the connected wallet, which leaves tasks at 'Pending on-chain submission'.
  • Connecting a different wallet from the one linked before (the app warns: 'The wallet linked is different from the one you connected before').
  • For token claims: multiple accounts or wallets, bots, VPNs, false information or failed identity verification, which the airdrop terms list as grounds for disqualification or clawback.
How long it takes

Getting started is fast (Perle's account guide says you can explore tasks and earn points as soon as you register), but turning points into money is slow and uncertain. Perle's token overview says the PRL distribution at the token launch (TGE 25 March 2026) converted early contributors' work, the Q4 2025 beta's 1.7 million tasks and 330 million points, into the token. Perle has not published when or how points earned after that launch will convert.

When you get paid

Perle Labs rewards work in Points, not cash: task, check-in, referral, spin and feedback points, scaled by accuracy, task complexity and streak multipliers. Perle's docs say contributors earn PRL for completed and verified work, distributed by quality-weighted contribution metrics. PRL is a Solana SPL token (1 billion supply, TGE 25 March 2026), so its dollar value moves with the market; Perle publishes no points-to-PRL rate, and its docs describe no bank, PayPal or other cash payout. The launch airdrop was claimed into a self-custodial wallet through claim.perle.xyz, after a VeryAI palm scan that checks you are a unique human (no government ID), and its terms excluded U.S. persons.

Tips to get accepted

  • Check in every day even when you will not do a task: Perle says it keeps your streak and multiplier alive, and multipliers of 1.5x to 2.5x apply to tasks in the next 24 hours.
  • Finish Educational modules early. They unlock Accuracy projects, and the Researcher tier is unlocked through them.
  • Fund the linked wallet with a little SOL before you start: the app refuses to submit a task transaction below 0.001 SOL and to mint a badge below 0.01 SOL.
  • Stick to one wallet. The app flags a mismatch when the connected wallet differs from the linked one, and the airdrop terms forbid using multiple accounts, wallets or identities.
  • If points you expected are missing, check Pending Points on the Dashboard or Referral page first: Perle says most items settle after validation.
  • Only follow links published on perle.ai, perle.xyz or Perle's verified X account (@PerleLabs), and ignore unsolicited DMs or 'support' accounts offering PRL: Perle says to treat any listing or airdrop it has not confirmed as suspicious.

What isn't public

  • Perle's docs partly predate the token launch: the FAQ still says points will become convertible 'in future releases' and the System Architecture page describes a beta 'Current State'. Perle has not published a rate or schedule for converting points earned after Season 1 into PRL.
  • Perle's own docs tie the launch distribution to the Q4 2025 beta. That Season 1 points (January to March 2026) also counted rests on a third-party report (Foresight News, carried by Bitget on 18 March 2026) that Perle had locked a Season 1 snapshot, with contributor reward details to follow.
  • We could not confirm that new projects are live as of 10 October 2026. The app's leaderboard only knows two seasons (Beta and Season 1), the airdrop registration site now reads 'The site is now closed.', and we did not sign in to see the current Marketplace.
  • The app contains a 'Sorry, you are not whitelisted' screen with a 'Join Whitelist' form and hello@perle.xyz. Perle does not publish whether new accounts are currently gated by a whitelist.
  • The SOL minimums (0.001 SOL per task transaction, 0.01 SOL to mint a badge) were read from the app's own interface, not from Perle's docs. A third-party Season 1 walkthrough by Odaily (22 January 2026) likewise says to keep a small amount of SOL because each task requires on-chain confirmation.
  • Tiers are only partly live: Perle lists Novice, Researcher, Scholar, Professor and Mastermind, but says only Researcher is available so far and higher tiers are coming soon. The point and accuracy thresholds are not published.
  • Some third-party guides describe USDC prize pools for Perle quests run through Galxe. We found no mention of USDC rewards on Perle's own docs or sites, so this guide does not state it as fact.
  • Perle does not list countries where the contributor platform itself is unavailable. The restrictions in this guide (U.S. persons, sanctioned territories, VPN use) come from the launch airdrop terms; whether later claims use the same rules is not stated.
  • Perle AI's separate expert network at perle.ai/experts (contracted, with a short paid domain trial) does not publish pay rates or which roles are open.

Is Perle Labs a scam?

No. Perle Labs is a real company.

Does Perle Labs pay?

Yes. Legitimate and well-funded: $17.5M total (a $9M seed led by Framework Ventures in August 2025, plus CoinFund), founders from Scale AI, Meta, MIT, and Berkeley. It runs two linked identities: an enterprise expert-data platform (15,000+ vetted experts across ~70 countries, including 2,500+ physicians and 800+ attorneys) and a permissionless web3 points/airdrop app (1.7M+ beta tasks, 333M+ points). The crypto-airdrop model means earnings are speculative token value, not guaranteed cash. Payouts: Points redeemable via the $PRL token on Solana (TGE March 2026), plus occasional USDC prize pools ($50-$500) through Galxe quests. Paid on-chain; each task requires an on-chain confirmation (small SOL balance needed). Perle Labs rewards work in Points, not cash: task, check-in, referral, spin and feedback points, scaled by accuracy, task complexity and streak multipliers. Is Perle Labs worth it?

Perle Labs pays Gigs paid per task or audio minute; Points toward PRL in its app (third-party reports). It rewards credentialed experts who clear its assessment far more than open generalist work. Worker sentiment: No Glassdoor or Trustpilot presence found; coverage is concentrated in crypto and airdrop media (MEXC, KuCoin, Odaily, airdrops.io) rather than traditional worker-review sites..

How does Perle Labs pay out?

Points redeemable via the $PRL token on Solana (TGE March 2026), plus occasional USDC prize pools ($50-$500) through Galxe quests. Paid on-chain; each task requires an on-chain confirmation (small SOL balance needed).

Where can you work for Perle Labs?

Global and permissionless (~70 countries). Contributors join with a Solana wallet, Google, or email OTP; participation is crypto-wallet based, so some regions may be restricted by local crypto rules.

How do I join Perle Labs?

Go to app.perle.xyz and sign up with a Solana wallet (recommended), Google, or an email one-time code. Optionally enter a referral code, set up your profile with your domain expertise, and you can start exploring tasks right away. If you used Google or email, link a Solana wallet later to enable reward payouts.

Do I need crypto to use Perle Labs?

You can sign up without a wallet, but rewards go to a Solana wallet, and tasks recorded on-chain need a small SOL balance to pay the network fee. The app asks for at least 0.001 SOL to submit a task transaction and at least 0.01 SOL to mint a badge.

Does Perle Labs pay cash?

No. You earn Points for verified work, and Perle says contributors earn its PRL token for completed and verified work on perle.xyz. PRL's dollar value depends on the market and there is no published points-to-PRL rate; Perle's docs describe no bank or PayPal payout.

Is there a test before I get real tasks on Perle Labs?

Yes, a light one. Every new contributor first completes a short qualification or training module (Educational projects: micro-lessons and quizzes). After that, accuracy on real tasks unlocks higher-value tasks and badges.

How do Perle's daily check-ins and multipliers work?

Check in from your dashboard each day to earn bonus points and extend your streak. Active streaks grant temporary multipliers of 1.5x to 2.5x on tasks you complete in the next 24 hours, and long streaks unlock badges.

Can people in the United States claim PRL?

Not under the PRL launch airdrop. Its terms (last updated 17 March 2026) require that you are not a U.S. person, not in a sanctioned territory, and not using a VPN to get around those rules. Perle has not said whether future claims follow the same terms.

Is Perle's expert network on perle.ai the same as Perle Labs?

No, it is a separate track. On perle.ai/experts you submit credentials and a short work sample (reviewed by a human), take a short paid domain trial in your field, then get matched to projects. Perle says those experts are employees or contractors with a real contract, not marketplace taskers. Its 'Apply now' button opens winnow.perle.ai.
